British Food Ambassador of the year – Thank you Farmers Weekly

In yesterdays blog I said I had a bit of dancing to do.  Well, it got better.

Farmers Weekly British Food Ambassadors 2012

Farmers Weekly British Food Ambassadors 2012

I was invited to the Farmers Weekly Magazine Awards at the Grosvenor Hotel on Park Lane in London.  To my surprise I was humbled and acknowledged for my work, along with TV chef James Martin and Nigel Barden of BBC Radio 2 as British Food Ambassador.   To find out more about my work, see www.jamesmcintosh.co.uk

Sitting at the top table with James Martin, Lords, MP’s, and members of staff from the Royal household it was rather something. Lord Coe presented the awards.  Farmers Weekly, thank you.

These high-profile figures have played an enormous role in championing British food and farming.  All three were raised on farms and from an early age understood the importance of fresh, seasonal and locally produced food.
