What does a busy foodie like me do in my spare time?  Where do I find all of the bits and bobs for my kitchen that I write about on here?  Where do you buy an AGA in London?  Whats my favourite Cookery School in London?  Divertimenti of course!

For half a century Divertimenti has been bringing the best of world cookware to Britain helping to achieve London’s rise as a culinary capital. It was started fifty years ago at a time where London was still a culinary wasteland, not only was there a lack of good restaurants, even the standard of home cooking was limited by the availability of ingredients and basic equipment. Divertimenti was instrumental is changing the culinary landscape of the nation’s kitchens, bringing to London the kind of kitchenware taken for granted on the Continent but virtually unknown on our shores.

Fast forward to the present day and Britain has transformed from culinary desert to foodie paradise. There are two Divertimenti stores – one in Marylebone High Street and the other in Brompton Road, both of which stock an enormous range of cooking utensils, pots and pans, copper, earthenware, hand decorated tableware, oriental utensils, cutlery and glassware – in fact just about everything a food lover could possibly want. Also, for those unable to visit our London shops there is the Divertimenti website (www.divertimenti.co.uk) where you will find over 4000 items of professional quality cookware and tableware.

Over the years the business has gone from strength to strength and has expanded its culinary repertoire beyond kitchen and tableware to include luxury La Cornue and AGA cookers and the renowned Divertimenti Cookery School – in essence unifying all things culinary.

In 2005 the business was acquired to the AGA Rangemaster Group further establishing Divertimenti’s credentials as the place to go for foodies. The Brompton Road and Marylebone shops now not only play host to our Cookery Schools but also house our AGA showrooms which include the innovative AGA iTotal Control, the new AGA that can be operated remotely.
