What to do in the school holidays part 3

One week left.  I am rather pleased as my said Deputy Head friend as well as the Primary School Teacher (the one who overloaded my car with plants after a jaunt to Ikea) are now getting to me, no, not with what to do, but with the constant drone of “we only have one week off left”.  I’m sorry, I know teachers work hard, I know they are probably underpaid, but 6 weeks off in the summer?   I wish!

Beverley Glock is my friend, and what a funny lady she is.  We share the same humour and work together at many food festivals across the UK on the AGA Rangemaster Cookery Theatre.  My Whisk iPhone App was one of the first conversations Bev and I ever had as she was in the development process of her app – and now its launched! Cupcakes, Muffins and Afternoon Tea – I say “Rather!”

Beverley has a company called “Splat Cooking“.  It’s a kids cookery school and if your interested in a franchise, give her a call.  Full of energy, fun and wit, Beverly makes cooking fun.  She even has cooking times for AGA – yet another reason to love Splat (as I call her).

60 recipes that include cupcakes, muffins and items for the quintessential English afternoon tea.  These include imaginative cupcake flavours such as Chili Chocolate, Pineapple Upside Down and a mix of sweet and savoury muffins including Blueberry Crumble and Courgette, Carrot and Cheese.

Beverley also provides a video masterclass on decoration, showing how to achieve different styles and finishes, with 14 different options to choose from.

The app also allows you to make and store notes for future reference and to share pictures of your achievements with friends and on Beverley’s own Facebook page, where you can also find more recipes, tips and chances to win baking prizes.
