The Cake Root Company is no ordinary cake company. Established in 2007 by sisters Jane Slater and Fiona Woodcock, the cakes that come out of our ovens are based on root vegetables. We have taken the trusted Carrot Cake to the next level, our signature varieties include Chocolate and Beetroot, Parsnip Lime & Ginger and a Courgette, Lemon & Pistachio cake to name but a few.
Coming from farming backgrounds we are committed to not only sourcing ingredients for our cakes locally but also minimising the environmental impact by using biodegradable and compostable packaging. Substituting some of the sugar content with the natural sweetness of the vegetables and using sunflower oil helps to produce cakes that are not sickly sweet but moist and full of flavour.
