I go most years, it’s the largest book fair in the world and its where I can meet directly with publishers from all over the world and talk about their publication plans and my ideas.
When at Frankfurt, I always enjoy Edouard Cointreau’s party. Edouard is the president of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and such an amazing support to the cookbook publishing industry.
Last night was Edouard’s party and the spread of food as always was wonderful. Marlena Spieler has written about the potatoes he serves in the past. Wonderful. The party is held in the opulence of Casino Villa Bonn in Frankfurt and talking to my global contacts of food ambassadors always makes for a fun evening. New Zealand was the guest of Honour this year at the Frankfurt Book Fair and seeing Robert Oliver and Julie Buiso in their Ambassadorial roles as well as Veffa – the mother of modern Greek cooking reminded me that I work in a family industry, we all work together to promote our countries.
