UK comes 3rd at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards

In a previous blog I stated all of the finalists from the UK at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.  Attending these awards is a privilege I have had for 6 years, winning it myself has been fantastic.

Untitled-1To be recognised as ‘Best in the World’ for your cookbook is something else.  You are the best, and globally recognised as such.  In this years Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, 9 British authors came first, 5 came second an 4 came 3rd in their respective categories.  Congratulations to all.

Out of 171 countries entered in 2012, finalists come from 86 different countries –  the UK has 21 finalists, 18 came in the top 3 of each category and we have one entry in the Hall of Fame.
